How often

Depending on your driving habits, you should have your brakes checked at least every year or about every 10,000 miles. However, if you experience any of the following, you should have them checked right away.

• Spongy brake pedal
• Low brake pedal
• Lit brake warning light
• Squeaking or grinding sound

Ignoring these warning signs can lead to more serious problems, meaning a larger repair bill or heightened safety issues. Be aware of brake issues and have them inspected immediately if you have concerns.
