Weaver Brake & Tire is a busy automotive repair and tire shop located in Marietta, GA. We have been in business for 50 years. We treat our staff as well as we do our customers, which is why we attract and retain excellent employees.Weaver is currently accepting applications for an alignment technician. Alignment technicians are responsible for the safe operation of aligning wheels, axles, torsion bars, and steering mechanisms of automotive vehicles in line with dealership and factory standards. You'll be required to perform work using the repair orders to ensure efficiency and accuracy. You'll test vehicles for faulty wheel alignment, bent axle, worn ball joints, and bent steering rods. If you see any faulty parts or improper wear, you are required to immediately report this to your supervisor so that they may inform the customer. Essential Job Functions:• Properly secure vehicle to lift/alignment machine to ensure safe operation• Properly align vehicle as per company specifications• Properly dismount and remount tires and wheels securely on the vehicle• Operate all related equipment and tools as trained• Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to diagnose issues and ensure repairs are satisfactory • Operate independently and as a team member• Perform quality work and demonstrate customer service satisfaction• Operate equipment safely, keep your work area clear of any trip hazards, and ensure proper lifting techniques• Keep your workstation clean and maintain general housekeeping• We are a high-volume shop, please be punctual and manage your time effectivelyJob Qualifications:• A minimum of 2 years prior experience in alignments is required. • ASE certification is preferred, but not required.• Prefer technicians that are also skilled in other areas of auto repair, but training can be provided.• Valid driver’s license• Provide your own toolsWeight Requirements:• Lift a minimum of seventy-five (75) pounds• Perform repeated and repetitive movement consistent with working in an alignment pit
